During your internship, you will contribute to: •    Researching, understanding, developing, and disseminating information to help create an aircraft design tool from first principles; facilitating analysis of airframe and engine ingestion of foreign objects.  •    Identifying capabilities, features and requirements of the future tool. •    Preparing a development plan, including the tool architecture.  •    Coding various portions of the tool.  •    Utilizing existing protocols used by other departments to enhance analysis tools in either CATIA V5 or Siemens NX with the combination of Star CCM+, and other software. •    Generating a test and validation plan for the tool and subsequent project derivatives.
During your internship, you will learn: •    To use different technical software (CATIA, NX, Star CCM+, etc.), programming languages, scripting tools and development environments.  •    How to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts.  •    To work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplines.
What we are looking for: •    You are well versed in Aircraft Conceptual Integration. •    You are well versed in 3D & 2D modeling and CAD programming. •    You are well versed in MS Office, particularly MS Excel. •    Experience in Catia V5 and/or Siemens NX is essential, along with knowledge of parametric modeling. VBA and macro programing is an asset. •    Programming experience is essential; such as Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic or Java. •    Experience with Star CCM+ is an asset.
